Christopher Hart's Assignment Number 2, on deviantART
I just submitted my work for an art assignment from Christopher Hart. You can see the work above. The assignment is at on deviantART, here. Basically, he showed a cartoon face he drew, and he said to redraw it. He told us to make up our own features and expression. I drew a goofy-looking guy with crossed eyes and buck teeth, and kind of a funny hairdo. It's a little like Ed Grimley's slicked up point on the front of his hair. I drew it in more of my own style. This is the second assignment from Christopher Hart, and I think he's doing more of these. I think it's a cool idea.
My sister made some decorations for my birthday using a machine that makes cutouts of silhouettes. One of the things she made was of The Punisher symbol. It already looked cool, but I photoshopped it, and I think this looks cool too. I like how the skull has a metallic look to it. My sister made the cutout of The Punisher skull with a foil-like paper, which has adhesive on the back. She put that on a black paper circle. The paper is more or less like you'd use for a scrapbook. It's one of my favorite decorations she made. Below is a picture of the decoration.
This is my drawing for day 25 of Terri's "30 DAY DRAWING/ART CHALLENGE." You're supposed to draw "your favourite sweet food/candy/etc (Terri)." I have a few favorites, actually, and this is one of them. This specifically is a drawing of a fun size Twix from a Christmas variety bag. The scallop in the right circle behind the Twix is because one of the circles on the wrapper is like that. At least it looks like a circle with a scallop on the wrapper. I'm thinking of doing more with it later.

I've been researching the various ways to hold your pencil when drawing. One of the things I found was a YouTube video at this link. It's from Proko. It looks interesting. I'm thinking of trying it after this post. I recommend giving the technique a try.
Update: There's another video, this one from Fine Art Tips, about how to hold your pencil when drawing. It's at https://youtu.be/TKagPZSLq6Y.
