Here's a tree sketch I did some time ago. I took a camera picture of it rather than scanning it. At the time I thought it would be easier.

Here's a drawing I did in one of my sketchbooks. It's in pencil and color pencil, and Sharpie pen. I have a picture of it uncolored, so that's why it says "(In Color)" in the title.

National Superhero Day

Happy National Superhero Day, and happy birthday to Jessica Alba who played a superhero (the Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four movies). Superheroes are something I like to draw sometimes. I think it's cool that there's a day for them.

How To Hold Your Pencil When Drawing (Updated)

I've been researching the various ways to hold your pencil when drawing. One of the things I found was a YouTube video at this link. It's from Proko. It looks interesting. I'm thinking of trying it after this post. I recommend giving the technique a try.

Looking For Inspiration

Inspiration can sometimes be difficult for an artist to find. I've researched some ways to get inspiration, and one of the articles I came across is at this link. It's a page on the For Dummies book site. It may be helpful if you're looking for inspiration.
