Wacky Blue Face



Here is my entry for the "Toshiba: Cool for School Laptop Skin Design Contest" on deviantART. I just found out earlier I didn't make it as one of the 25 finalists. This the second one where I didn't even make it as one of the finalists, but I figure if I keep trying I'll eventually get somewhere in one of those contests. I thought of a few different ideas for my submission, including some kind of abstract picture and a food design with a pattern consisting hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, things like that. I finally decided this "Wacky Blue Face" would make an interesting laptop skin.

This is my drawing for day 25 of Terri's "30 DAY DRAWING/ART CHALLENGE." You're supposed to draw "your favourite sweet food/candy/etc (Terri)." I have a few favorites, actually, and this is one of them. This specifically is a drawing of a fun size Twix from a Christmas variety bag. The scallop in the right circle behind the Twix is because one of the circles on the wrapper is like that. At least it looks like a circle with a scallop on the wrapper. Art Projects

I've been thinking about ideas for art projects. I'm planning on getting The Drawing Board #13 done and posted on here within this week, or maybe Sunday of next week. I've been wanting to do an artwork as a tribute to our armed forces. I'm also thinking of doing a comic strip about Eliza Dushku. That last idea is inspired by the comics on NataliePortman.com. I'll be posting those artworks as soon as they're completed.
