A page from my sketchbook I watched a You Tube video on ideas for drawing in a sketchbook. You can check it out here . The picture above is a sketchbook doodle based on one of the ideas in the video. I used a ballpoint pen and Crayola color pencils for mine.

This is not related to my art, though superheroes have been an influence on it. But, here is an article that I think is worth a read in regards to superheroes on film.

Here are some sketches from my sketchbook. I drew these earlier today. The top left one is inspired by Bill Hader in IT CHAPTER TWO, though I didn't go for an exact likeness. The middle right one is inspired by Professor X of X-Men. It's not him exactly. I put a mustache on him.

Batman sketch card Happy Batman Day! Here's a drawing I did of Christian Bale as Batman. It's in gel pen on a black sketch card. I've had doubts about scanning drawings on my other sketch cards because I thought they might get bent and creased. These black sketch cards I wouldn't try scanning because they seem to thick and hard for that. I thought it would be cool to do a Batman drawing on one for Batman Day.

Spider-Man Sketch Card Here's a Spider-Man sketch card I did earlier. It's the first sketch card I've done that didn't use a photo  reference.

"Cartoon Bird" This image came to mind this evening, so I put it down on paper. I realized the wing on this cartoon bird might be like the hands on the cartoon character named Kirby.

Here's an artist trading card drawing I did earlier. It's of Pennywise/It from the It movies. I recently saw IT CHAPTER TWO with my dad. It's a scary and emotional movie.

"Joker In Pen" Here's a sketch from my sketchbook. I recently finished drawing in all the pages in my sketchbook that I got for Christmas.. This Joker sketch, in ballpoint pen, is one of the last drawings in it.

Face doodles Here are some face doodles from my sketchbook. I just felt like filling a page with some cartoon faces.

Matt Smith Sketch Page I'm blogging this mainly for my drawing of Matt Smith in the top left corner. This is a page from one of my sketchbooks.

"Backs of People" Here's a sketch I did some time ago. I had a photo of people's backs that I sketched from.

Ninja Turtles Sketches I drew these in my sketchbook, with different colored ballpoint pens. My intention was to sketch different versions of the Ninja Turtles. The dark blue one is from the newest TMNT movies. The purple one is based on the late '80s cartoon show. The green one is first comic book appearance ninja turtles. The light blue is from an animated show, I think in the 2000s. The red one was how I might draw a ninja turtle in comic book style. The black one was how I would draw a ninja turtle in my cartoon style.

"Blob" Here's a picture I drew of a blob-like character. I've been randomly blogging lately, and I thought today would be a good day to blog a drawing.

"Smiley Face" Here's another small drawing from my Dark Knight Rises drawing pad.

"Batman" This is a Batman drawing I did awhile back. I drew it in a pad that was probably about the same size as artist trading cards. The paper was what I think is considered newsprint paper.

"Sky Diving Donut" Here's a doodle I did of a sky diving donut awhile back. It's inspired by a Valentine's Day card from my sister.

"Kelly Clarkson" Here's a picture I drew of Kelly Clarkson back in 2005. I'm pretty sure I have a digitally colored version somewhere.

Robert Downey, Jr. Sketch Here's a sketch I did of Robert Downey,  Jr. last night in my sketchbook. I'm halfway (or maybe a little more) through my sketchbook I got for Christmas. It's a hardbound sketchbook. It might be at least a few more months before I've filled every page with drawings. It depends on how frequently I think of things to draw in it.

Adam West Batman drawing Here's an Adam West drawing I drew in my sketchbook some time ago. I wasn't necessarily going for an exact likeness at the time.

"Bird Sketch" Here's a bird sketch I did some time ago.

"Cartoon Face" This is a simple drawing I did some time ago. It's pretty self explanatory.

"Joker" Here's a sketch of the Joker from my sketchbook.

"Ginger Howling" This a picture I drew of our Yorkie. She's howled a couple times in her sleep. One time my dad said she howled while she was awake. She's cute.

"Cartoon Lamp" Here's a scan from my sketchbook. I think there was actually an anthropomorphic lamp in a 1980s cartoon movie. There were other anthropomorphic household appliances as well. This isn't based on the lamp character, but might have been inspired by it. It's also inspired by two lamps I have. This is basically one of those lamps if it came to life as a cartoon character.

"Ralph Dibny" "Chris Evans As Cap" Here are a couple more scans of pictures I've drawn.

"Christmas Light" I was playing around with my new scanner and scanned this picture I drew some time ago.  Christmas is still a long way off, but I chose this picture to scan. Christmas in July is coming soon though. I don't do any celebrating for that other than maybe listing to a Christmas music channel on TV that month. I think this scan turned out pretty well, although I might want to line up the next one better than this one.
